GET THE FIRE OF ENTHUSIASM BURNING

Life is not all fun and easy-going. Far from it; there are many rough times. But sadly, we too often let the hard times dull our enthusiasm. And that is dangerous, if not fatal, to our lives.

Enthusiasm is one vital element that the successful person possesses in abundance. He or she uses it in meeting responsibilities, in succeeding on the job, and in solving daily problems.

We have been naturally endowed with enthusiasm. It is as native to us as laughing or smiling. When one gets enthusiastic, the entire personality lights up. The mind becomes sharper, more intuitive; life as the whole force and creative ability is enhanced. Such a person is motivated makes an impact.

Before water generates steam, it has to boil. A steam engine won’t move an inch until the steam gauge registers 212 degrees. The person without enthusiasm is trying to move the machinery of life with lukewarm water. Only one thing can happen; he will stall. Remember, enthusiasm is electricity in the battery. It’s the vigour in the air, and it’s the warmth in the fire, it’s the breath in all things live.

The successful man has enthusiasm; Good work is never done in cold blood, heat is needed to forge anything. Every great achievement is the story of a flaming heart.

One purpose for writing this blog post is to point out the incalculable value of enthusiasm, especially to those who have the urge to accomplish something worthwhile in life. Enthusiasm is the all-essential human jet propeller. It is the driving force which elevates men to miracle workers. It creates boldness, courage; kindles confidence; overcomes doubts. It creates endless energy, the source of all accomplishment.

It is utterly pathetic to go through life and never be moved, never excited, never enthusiastic, but always remaining listless. To be turned off and empty is undoubtedly to deny oneself the exquisite joy possible to a human being in the all too short span of years most of us have.

We all can come out of dull lethargy and really live with vigour. This can happen when a person makes himself mentally available to change. I was simmering, just simmering; Enthusiasm brought me to a boil.

This could be the solution to the turn-off and the empty of this era. They admit they’ve got it made financially, but they feel empty and dissatisfied, looking for a sense of meaning. It is hard to understand how anyone with life and vitality can fail to be enthusiastic in this exciting time whenever the air seems full of dreams, plans, and terrific ideas. What would you say to people who come up with all those cynical, negative objections?

One way to start is to take a big writing pad. Be sure it is a large pad, for you are going to require a lot of space. Start listing your assets. Perhaps you will say, Oh, now, Steve come off it. So list your assets. And number them. See how they add up as you let yourself become excited.

  1. I am alive, and if I was dead, I couldn’t write this.
  2. I can breathe.
  3. I can walk.
  4. I can eat.
  5. I have a roof over my head.
  6. I can read it.
  7. I’ve got a good brain. I know I have, for I can still think.

Then go on and list everything that comes to your mind. Rack your brain until you think of some assets you never thought of before.

  1. The sun is shining
  2. It’s raining – isn’t that great? We need the rain.
  3. That trouble I have – it’s going to make me stronger as I think my way over it and then out of it.

Be assured that I’m telling you a solid fact: you can be enthusiastic, you can be full of excitement, you can have a future, you can, you can, you can.

Everyone is born with enthusiasm. Did you ever see an unenthusiastic baby or a little child? They’re all born as positive, vigorous little people. But educators tell me that by the time they reach fourth or fifth grade many, perhaps 80 per cent, become negative thinkers and their natural enthusiasm fades, in some cases forever.

You nodded your head, and I know you see what I mean, for you have children or grandchildren, too.

The incredible fact is every person can be changed into an enthusiastic thinker. Every one of us has the potential of being a released, joyful, vigorous and triumphant human being. How? Let the natural enthusiasm which has been placed within you come surging out.

Whatever you do, keep the fire of enthusiasm burning. And remember none are so old as those who have outlived enthusiasm.
This goes in line a bit with the lemonade from lemons, but when you start to focus on change being something that is good, opportunities will be more open to you. They have a way of finding you. These opportunities may not have presented themselves had the changes not occurred.

Act as if you have the enthusiasm and soon, the creative power of enthusiasm will manifest itself through your body, mind, and spirit to enhance your life.

So dear friend, always think positively and believe enthusiastically. That’s living the absolute freedom lifestyle! Thanks for reading! See you on the next one! and don’t forget to download your copy of WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS.
